The historically cold winter this year killed up to 90 percent of honeybees in Michigan. Beekeepers will need to pay if they want to replace their hives meaning the price of honey in Michigan will likely increase. And if this trend continues price of many fruits and vegetables will increase as well as Honeybees pollinate a third of the fruits and vegetables we eat.
