GROWINGJOBS – A swat team of economic gardeners is sweeping through Michigan next month to help 54 existing companies grow jobs. It’s part of a strategy switch from hunting for them from out of state firms. UNEMPLOYMENT FRAUD – State officials hope that a $2 million investment in software leads to a $50 million a year savings by preventing unemployment insurance fraud. Business officials say such fraud is a hidden tax harming Michigan’s economy. FOR ALL POINTS
TEENDRIVERS – A new state website aims at helping parents make their teen drivers safer. The site reinforces parental rules and agreements with teens on their driving behavior. Researchers say such a strategy reduces accidents and reckless driving tickets. FOR ALL POINTS
