MSU Social Norms has been creating quite the following on MSU’s campus- ducks.

But it’s not the fowl friends students see along the red cedar; these ducks are fighting for a cause.

In effort to combat heavy alcohol consumption, the “ducks” were created to demonstrate healthy alcohol practices in a fun manner without intrusive.

In signs and t-shirts displayed around campus, the ducks share a tip to assist in exercising healthy alcohol consumption.

And they are producing positive results.

MSU Social Norms Director, Rebecca Allen, is happy with the improvement in alcohol safety.

“Everything that we hoped would happen, has wonderfully happened,” Allen said.

In 2011, the campaign received national recognition for its creative efforts.
