National Eating Disorders Awareness Week

Wednesday Without Worry

National Eating Disorders Awareness Week is February 26th through March 3rd.  Michigan State University held a week full of events to help spread awareness of eating disorders.

This year’s theme was “Everybody knows somebody.” The first event of the week was titled, “Roll out of Bed”. Students were encouraged to come as they were to one of three on campus locations at 7:30 in the morning to receive a free t-shirt.

Other events included “Operation Beautiful,” a post-it note campaign promoting positive self-talk, A miniature Twix bar giveaway with an inspirational message attached to each bar and the premiere of Darryl Roberts’ documentary “America the Beautiful 2: The Thin Commandments.”
