A recent art expo in East Lansing had local residents checking out all kinds of art from some of their favorite local artists.
Canvas paintings, hats, scarves, and jewelry were just some of the pieces of art sold at the first East Lansing Art Expo. Organizers felt that art was the perfect way to bring the community together and get the message out that art is still alive.
“”We’re just having a gathering of local artists in our community to just put our face out there to say, hey, art is still alive.” said Yvette Robinson, director of the Hannah Community Center Art Gallery.
Organizers hope to bring the expo back for a second year.
